Public Charge Forum at Pui Tak Center
September 11, 2019
June Htun (CABA Advisory Board Member) and Lara Wagner presented an informative session on the public charge regulation changes. Immigration attorneys Rachel Kao (CABA Board Member), Tejas Shah, Saadia Siddique, and Stephanie Dy joined the two presenters and participated in the Q&A sessions. Total of 245 people attended the presentation.
Reenactment: Chy Lung vs. Freeman

CABA, in conjunction with Loyola University Chicago School of Law’s APALSA Chapter, presented a re-enactment of the first U.S. Supreme Court case involving a Chinese litigant. Actors and actresses consisted of practicing lawyers, sitting judges, law students, and members of the Chinese American community. Over 100 people were in attendance.
