ENTRY-LEVEL ATTORNEYS

twelve (12) Divisions hiring entry-level attorneys:

Collection Ownership and Administrative Litigation Division, Building and License Enforcement, Legal Information & Prosecutions, Aviation, Environmental, Regulatory and Contracts in both the Transactional/Contracts and Litigation/Regulatory capacities, Administration Public Safety Reform Division, Affirmative Litigation, Labor, Risk Management & Compliance, Torts in the ACC III and Workers' Compensation capacities, Employment Litigation, Appeals, Constitutional & Commercial Litigation, Legal Counsel. Some minimum requirements for these positions are:

• Graduation from an American Bar Association accredited law school with a Juris Doctor degree.

• Admission to the Illinois Bar (or eligible for admission on motion to the Illinois Bar pursuant to Illinois Supreme Court Rule 705).
  

MID-LEVEL ATTORNEYS one (1) Division hiring mid-level attorneys: Federal Civil Rights Litigation. Some minimum requirements for these positions are:

• 3 years of experience in state or federal court

• The ability to take initiative and manage workflow and deadlines, as demonstrated by past positions and achievements

SUPERVISOR-LEVEL ATTORNEYS two (2) Divisions hiring Supervisor-level attorneys: Aviation, Environmental, Regulatory and Contracts Division, Collection Ownership and Administrative Litigation. Some minimum requirements for these positions are:

• 5-6 years minimum experience as a licensed attorney

• Demonstrated ability to exhibit leadership and initiative on assigned tasks

• Demonstrated ability to work well with and motivate others

SENIOR-LEVEL ATTORNEYS two (2) Divisions hiring Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel's attorneys: Aviation, Environmental, Regulatory and Contracts Division, Torts. Some minimum requirements for these positions are:

• 8-10 years of experience as a licensed attorney (of which 2-3 years are in a supervisory role or other management capacity) (7 jury trials

• Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of clients regarding their concerns and legal needs

• Exhibiting leadership and initiative
